Bracken County Vacation Packages

My wife and I were looking for a hotel within walking distance from Great American Ballpark and chose 21c. The check-in process was easy and the room was easy to find. The room wasn't bad, just had a lot of features/amenities that were missing or not too pleasing. The bed was as hard as a rock compared to any hotel I've ever stayed at, as were the pillows (this is something I've never had an issue with, and we travel a lot). The room didn't have a mini-fridge for the price, which was disappointing, but ok for one night. A good deal of the tv channels on the guide either didn't work (any of the movie channels) or just stuck on a random screen (Fox Sports Ohio). A couple of the video based art installations on the 2nd floor also weren't on or working (in particular the one that made a reference to Psycho, which I would have really wanted to see). I also wasn't a big fan of a $5 "sustainability fee" that was tacked on at the end. I'd stay here again in a pinch, but would probably look elsewhere.

Stayed there on its opening day. The staff was helpful and eager to please. Excellent.

The host was unfriendly and targeting. After receiving paid confirmation, the host called and inquired on the reason for stay and adamantly referred to the community as “protected” with closely monitored noise ordinances. Mind you, the apartment is directly across for the stadium. The area is riddled with the homeless population. Another conversation centered around “no parties” allowed and strict guest limits. At no time did we discuss or suggest we were having a get together and our reservation was a party of 2 with a 6 party posted limit. We had to contact customer service because the host encouraged us to cancel via the app due not being a “good fit” for this protected community. I would be mindful of hosts who charge outrageous security deposits for short stays. I would not recommend this property. There are other great places nearby and more friendly who offer more amenities.
